Here's one I'm probably
going to hate myself for selling, especially now, but up for
sale, I have an early Clinton Detweiler figure with George Eazer
style brass mechanics.
I believe these figures to be a rare
addition for a collection (or to use). I'm sure someone will
correct me if I am wrong, but I cannot recall seeing these come
up for sale often, (actually, I can't remember seeing any come
up for sale until recently when Clinton's son put one of these
heads up for sale).
The figure has self-centering side-to-side moving eyes, the
standard slot jaw, winkers/blinkers, and raising eyebrows, and
as mentioned, it has the brass mechanics that George Eazer
taught Clinton how to make.
Everything is all original and according
to Clinton, even the clothes are original, including the light
up bow-tie (which I have never tested to see if it worked).
The figure is in at least excellent
condition as I am only the second owner. The original owner
bought it new directly from Clinton in 1972, he said he didn't
use it much, it spent most of it's life in a case. I believed it
when I saw it and saw the "like new" condition of it. Since I've
had the figure, it has not been used, it's been kept in a glass
display case.
