It is with great distress
that I am offering this great Conrad Hartz figure for sale. I
only sell now when I have purchased something else and such is
the case right now.
This figure was inspired to Conrad by Frank Marshall. It is a
great rendition with the wide mouth and teeth showing very
reminiscent of how Frank Marshall did his figures in the late
1940's to 1950's. This figure is 40" tall and is in near perfect
condition. The original paint is superb. He has Conrad's great
wooden body and carved basswood hands.
Conrad carved this fellow in the early 1980's and it was just
put away and never used. You are getting what I would call New
Old Stock with this figure. The controls are the brass style
controls used longbefore Mr Hartz changed to plastic levers. The
head has side to side self centering eyes and slot jaw. His wig
is original and mint condition You will see a line down the side
of his head which is exactly the way Marshall did his heads, two
halves.
He comes clothed in this great vintage drummer boy outfit as
well as a second gray sport coat.
If you ever wanted a sporting Marshall style figure but didn't
want to pay Marshall price then you had better jump on this one.
The asking price is $1575.00 and the shipping is $45.00 in the
USA. Overseas shipping will be different so contact me first.
I am motivated to sell so let me know what you want to pay.
