Figure crafted by Chuck Jackson
For Sale:
A beautiful Chuck Jackson basswood head, Jackson urethane type
body with Mike Brose hands approx. 39" tall. The arms and legs
are made from wood and bend at the joints the feet are wood
material (see Photos). To my knowledge this is the only one of
it's kind, making it an original piece to own and perform and
not being mass produced.
The head has recently been upgraded with new wig and paint by
Clinton Detweiller a master craftsman who has been in the
business for many many years and well known in the vent
community for his masterful work. The controls are made from
brass attached to braided rope that moves the mechanics.
The movements are:
Mouth (Nice pearly whites as well)
Side to side self centering eyes (Blue) Raising eyebrows with
hair Blinkers (leather type) the controls can be setup so they
can wink as well If your looking for an original figure with a
wise cracking look this figure is for you! This is truly a
beautiful figure and the mechanics operate smoothly and are very
neatly done (see photo).
Arms:
Shoulders are made from wooden balls which are connected to
wooden dowels that make up the arms Wooden dowels have been
jointed at the elbow area allowing the arm to bend naturally
Fabric has been placed to conceal metal springs that provide a
natural bend to the arm Hands are attached to wooden dowels (note:left
hand where wrist meets the dowel has a hairline crack which has
been filled with glue. Not even noticable when dressed)
Legs:
Upper thighs are constructed from wood, rectangular in shape
attached to body with metal hinges to provide flexability when
packing and sitting Lower legs are made from wooden dowels which
are attached to the upper thigh using metal hinges to provide
natural bend in the leg when sitting Feet are made from wood as
well, made slightly smaller in size to make it easy to slip
shoes on (Feet move inward and outward only, they do not bend at
the ankle area) Legs have been covered in foam rubber to provide
a natural shape to the leg
Headstick:
Wooden dowel with hook on bottom to secure head to body Base of
stick is covered with foam rubber to provide comfort (can easily
be removed) Controls are brass attached to braided string to
operate the mechanics.$875.00
