PRICE REDUCTION
"AUGUSTUS" Carved around
March, 2003. The entire sculpture is from wood (head, body,
attire). Robert selected an exotic wood from the Philippines
called, Jelutope. Over this he laid gold leaf to create the
outstanding look of armor.
This is a one-of-a-kind figure. Fewer than 40 BIGHEADS have been
made by Robert over the years. This is your opportunity to
invest in a rare collectors item as Robert only carved a few
figures from wood as most of his creations were made using the
2-stage Sculpting method. This particular figure has never been
used on stage and is in perfect condition without a single
scratch.
When I obtained this figure the blinkers were a bit fragile, so
I've re-worked them using brass rods and levers and they now
work flawlessly and can be utilized to create many expressions.
I also added a couple of small guide rods to the back of the
head underneath the access panel to keep the panel in place.
There are no strings to break and if cared for properly, this
soldier will likely be of service to many generations to come
and will be the pride of your collection.
Animations: Moving mouth, large side-to-side eyes, and blinkers.
